Cubico is progressing the development of the Marmadua Energy Park located approximately 22km from Tara and 37km from Dalby, within Queensland’s Western Downs Regional Council area.
The Marmadua Energy Park project comprises up to 100 wind turbines and a battery energy storage system (BESS), generating enough clean energy to power around 480,000 Queensland households.
Since early 2023, Cubico has been engaging with landowners. The project has successfully completed internal feasibility assessments, ecology (fauna and flora) studies and cultural heritage studies. Further investigations into wind dynamics will continue.
Cubico is committed to engaging with the community to help shape the project and we are looking forward to meeting with more residents, community groups and other stakeholders.
