Community Information Session (Online Webinar)

Thank you to those who attended our recent online webinar. Your participation and questions helped make it an informative and engaging session.

What We Shared

During the webinar, we provided an update on the Marmadua Energy Park, including the latest turbine layout plans and a visual assessment of how these turbines may appear within the landscape. We also discussed our environmental considerations, the status of the Project’s approval process, and the range of potential benefits the project could bring to the local community—such as long-term renewable energy supply, potential employment opportunities, and contributions to the region’s sustainable growth.

Community Engagement in 2025

We understand how important it is for you to not only learn more about the proposed Marmadua Energy Park, but also to have opportunities to provide input on aspects of the Project. In early 2025, we will be back out in the community to continue our engagement as the project progresses through the approvals process, and to listen to your valuable feedback. We look forward to these discussions and appreciate your continued engagement.

September 2024 Community Engagement Sessions

Thank you to those who attended our recent community engagement sessions in Tara and Weranga for the proposed Marmadua Energy Park. We greatly appreciate the community’s participation and the valuable feedback you shared with us.

During the sessions, we heard a wide range of views. Some attendees expressed concerns about possible impacts, such as noise, landscape changes, and property values. Others shared their thoughts on the potential economic benefits and opportunities for local businesses.

We also had some great initial discussions about the proposed Community Benefits Fund, which generated insightful suggestions, including exploring options to improve water security and access for the community. There was also strong interest in the  creation of training and apprenticeship programs to support long-term local employment.

We are keen to hear more from you about how this funding could best be distributed and invite you to complete a short survey > Community Benefit Fund Survey

Your feedback will help ensure that the fund supports projects and initiatives that align with community values, needs and priorities.

In the coming months, we’ll be back out in the community to continue providing updates as the project progresses and gathering feedback.

To ensure you receive the updates, please register for updates here.
